Welcome to my blog.
Among the various sports topics I would like to discuss on here, I wish to primarily focus on the one that is very close to heart: mixed martial arts. Although the latter is a behemoth of a sport on this island, the former is seen as a mindless and violent practice that offers no real knowledge. It is also the reason for the name of this blog, as although the death's-head hawkmoth provides a cold and intimidating impression due to the skull on its back, martial arts likewise appears to be dangerous and unattractive. Yet there lies a beauty in both, a brilliance and art form that I hope to expand and shed light upon so that it can take a more pivotal point in the discussion of sports worldwide, and encourage people, especially youth, to pursue a sport that can lead to multiple physical, and especially mental, benefits, and can serve as a bridge between different cultures, all the way from Brazil to countries in East Asia.
